for example- 30 to the power of 1/3
If I understand correctly, you are asking how to compute powers of the form x^(1/n), correct? Just remember that x^(1/n) is the n-th root of x. So, x^(1/2) is the square root of x, x^(1/3) is the cube root of x, and so on.
For example, 4^(1/2) = 2, and 8^(1/3) =2.
